  1. INSTRUCTIONS FOR USING THE PLANET FILES:
  2.  
  3. These files are modified versions of the VGA.PAC files.  The
  4. three different files will convert any mission with the Death
  5. Star surface in it into a mission on the surface of a planet.
  6. You have three planets to choose from:
  7. DESERT.PAC
  8. ICE.PAC
  9. FOREST.PAC
  10.  
  11. VGA.ORI is a backup copy of the original VGA.PAC file, to be
  12. used when returning to normal.
  13.  
  14. To use the enclosed files, simply copy them into the \xwing
  15. subdirectory.
  16.  
  17. Then copy the desired planet over VGA.PAC with DOS commands
  18. like this for example:

  20. COPY DESERT.PAC VGA.PAC
  21.  
  22. for example will convert the Death Star surface into a desert
  23. world and give you a nice blue sky overhead.

  26. To return to normal, simply use the DOS command:

  28. COPY VGA.ORI VGA.PAC
  29.  
  30. and all is normal again.
